Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Guwahati to Nameri/Bhalukpong

On arrival at Guwahati airport, meet and greet with our representative and directly transfer to Nameri/Bhalukpong (around 5 hours, only possible if you arrive in the first half) via Bhumuraguri bridge (3,015 meters long) on the Brahmaputra river.
Overnight at eco camps at Nameri (bamboo huts) or Bhalukpong guest house.

(Nameri National Park: Nameri lies at the border of Assam-Arunachal Pradesh, ornamented with rich bio-diversity and Jia Bharali river allowing you to spend a night at Bamboo cottages and optional white water rafting cum birding tour (grade 1). There you can also opt for a nature’s guided walk for birding and visit the pygmy hog center.)

Day 2 :

Nameri/Bhalukpong to Dirang

After breakfast, an optional morning rafting tour and drive to Dirang (around 5-6 hrs) via the Tipi Orchid Center, Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (the blooming season is from the end of March till May) and Bomdila. Arrive at Dirang and visit the Dirang Dzong and Sangti Valley. If time permits, explore Sangti Valley.

Overnight at Dirang hotel / homestay/Sangti Valley luxury camps.

(Sangti Valley: At around 7 KM from Dirang town, this valley is inhabited by the Mahayana
Buddhist Monpa tribe. The main attractions are the unmatched hospitality of the friendly Monpas, rivers, migratory birds, kiwi and apple orchards and mountain villages. A guided tour can allow you to experience the valley like a local.)

Day 3 :

Dirang to Tawang

After early breakfast, you can go for a village walk or a short hike to a farm for around 2 hours). Later, proceed to Tawang (around 5-6 hours) via Sela Pass, Sela Lake situated at an altitude of 13476 ft. Also, visit Jaswantgarh War Memorial and before reaching Tawang visit the Nuranong waterfall popular as Jung waterfall. Evening leisure or exploring the local market and restaurants.
Overnight at Tawang Hotel/guesthouse.

Day 4 :

Tawang

Post breakfast, go for Tawang local sightseeing by visiting Tawang Monastery, India’s largest
monastery. Visit Urgelling Monastery- the birthplace of the Sixth Dalia Lama and Ani Gompa. After a late lunch and refreshments, visit the Tawang War Memorial.
Evening leisure and overnight at Tawang Hotel/guesthouse.

Day 5 :

Bumla Pass Excursion

After breakfast, an excursion to Bumla Pass & Sangetsar Lake, also popular as Madhuri Lake and back to Tawang Hotel.
Overnight at Tawang Hotel/guesthouse
(Note: Outside vehicles are not allowed for this excursion. Therefore, a local vehicle
(Sumo/Bolero/Xylo) is included i.e. Rs.5500-6500) with permits. Also, this excursion is subject to the permission given by the local administration and the Indian army.)

Day 6 :

Tawang to Bomdila

Post breakfast, start your return journey to Bomdila (around 6-7 hrs). You can visit Bomdila
monastery.
Overnight at the guest house/hotel.

Day 7 :

Bomdila to Guwahati drop:

Post breakfast, transfer from Bomdila Guwahati (around 8 hours) via Shergaon to connect your evening flight/train.

The tour ends here or you can stay 1 more night at Guwahati for the next
day’s flight.

The Cost Includes

Accommodation for 5 Nights on a Double/Triple sharing basis. Extra beds or extra mattresses will be provided in the Triple sharing room.

Do Indian nationals need permits to visit Arunachal Pradesh?

Yes, Indian nationals require Inner Line Permits (ILP) to enter Arunachal Pradesh. You can apply online or obtain them physically from Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong, and some other towns in Assam. ILP is also available on arrival at certain gates.

Do foreign nationals need permits to visit Arunachal Pradesh?

Yes, foreign nationals require Protected Area Permits (PAP), which can be obtained online or physically from the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi, the Resident Commissioner’s office in Delhi, the Secretary (Tourism) in Itanagar, or the Commissioner’s Office (Home) in Itanagar.

Can you help with ILP/PAP applications?

Yes, we can apply for both ILP and PAP on your behalf through government-authorized agents.

Is the Bumla Pass excursion included?

The Bumla Pass excursion requires special permits, and only local vehicles are allowed. The cost of the local vehicle is NOT included, As, the excursion is subject to permission from the local administration and the Indian Army. We will assist you in procuring the permit.

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

We only confirm after receiving a 50% advance of the total cost. The remaining 50% has to be paid on or before 07 days of the trip. Cancellation charges are applicable as per the cancellation policy.
