Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park

Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) / Railway Station. Meet your guide and transfer to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 4.5 to 5 hours drive) through Assam Trunk Road.

Optional evening Jeep safari (1:30 PM to 3 PM entry time). An optional visit to Orchid Park will allow you to witness varied regional orchids. You may also witness a cultural Bihu dance and taste ethnic Assamese cuisine.

Overnight stay in Kaziranga hotel/resort/camp.

Day 2 :

Kaziranga Safari & Transfer to Shillong

Optional early morning Elephant safari (5:30 AM and 6:30 AM, 2 slots).

Return to hotel for breakfast. Or choose to go for an optional Jeep safari (7:30 AM till 10 AM entry time).

Transfer to Shillong (around 6 hours). On arrival at Shillong, check in to the hotel. Optional you can visit local cafes and restaurants.

Overnight stay in Shillong guest house/hotel.

Day 3 :

Shillong City Sightseeing

Post breakfast, go for Shillong sightseeing. Covering Don Bosco Museum (Sunday closed), Church, Ward Lake, Lady Hyderi Park, and Polo Ground.

If time allows, visit Elephanta Falls as well. Evening, explore the Police Bazar area by covering cafes and restaurants.

Overnight stay in Shillong hotel/guest house.

Day 4 :

Shillong to Cherrapunjee

Post breakfast, transfer to Cherrapunjee (around 2 hours). Visit – Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. If you hike 15-20 minutes one way, visit Wei Sawdong falls. If time permits, visit Thankarang Park and Koh Ramhah.

Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee in Resort/hotel/homestay.

Day 5 :

Cherrapunjee – Dawki – Mawlynnong

After breakfast, transfer to Dawki (100 km / 3 hrs drive approx.) Visit the Bangladesh border and go for an optional country boat ride on the Umngot River.

Later, visit Mawlynnong village.

Overnight options at Mawlynnong homestays/guesthouse or Dawki resort/adventure basic campsite.

Day 6 :

Mawlynnong to Guwahati

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati (5-6 hours approx) via Umium Lake. Optional water-based activities like Speed Boating.

Afternoon, go for optional shopping or taste Assamese cuisines.

Evening, visit an optional sunset cruise or dinner cruise on the Brahmaputra river (driver’s extra surcharge of Rs. 1,000 for the river cruise is applicable). However, river cruises can be confirmed only 48 hours before the evening.

Overnight stay in Guwahati guest house/hotel.

Day 7 :

Departure

Post breakfast drop at Guwahati airport or via an optional visit to Kamakhya temple

(around 3+ hours affair and driver’s extra surcharge Rs. 1,000 for the Kamakhya visit is applicable).

The trip ends here.

Accommodation for 6 nights on a double/triple sharing basis. Extra beds or mattresses will be provided for triple sharing rooms.
Meals: 6 Breakfasts (CP).
Transfers to and from Guwahati airport/railway station by exclusive vehicle
Experienced driver, including fuel, toll, parking, and driver’s allowances
All sightseeing as per the itinerary.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the best time to visit Kaziranga National Park?

Kaziranga National Park is open for safaris from October to April or until the flood water level is low. You can visit later as well just for relaxation and other activities (Orchid Park, Tea Garden visit etc).

Are the safaris in Kaziranga National Park included in the tour price?

No, the safaris are optional and not included in the tour price. There are optional Elephant and Jeep Safaris. However, we can book the safaris before your arrival date.

Is it possible to see waterfalls throughout the year in Meghalaya?

Waterfalls are good to witness during the monsoon season.

What is Mawlynnong famous for?

Mawlynnong village is dubbed the cleanest village in India.

What is the payment procedure?

We only confirm after receiving a 50% advance of the total cost. The remaining 50% has to be paid on or before 07 days of the trip.
