Morning: Visit a traditional Ao Naga village near Mokokchung (Longkhum or Mopungchuket). Interact with the villagers to learn about their history, traditions, and way of life. See traditional houses, Morungs (community houses), and local crafts.

Afternoon: Visit the Ao Naga Tribal Council Hall (if accessible) to learn more about the Ao Naga social structure. Explore the Mokokchung District Museum to see artefacts and exhibits related to the region’s history and culture.

Evening: Enjoy a cultural performance (if available and arranged beforehand).

Overnight stay in Mokokchung.

Morning: Depart from Mokokchung for Mon (approx. 6-8 hours drive). This drive can be long and challenging.

Afternoon/Evening: Arrive in Mon and check into your guesthouse/homestay. If time permits, visit Mon village.

Mon is known for the Konyak Nagas, who were known for their headhunting practices in the past.

Overnight stay in Mon.

Morning: Visit Hongphoi village, a large Konyak village near Mon. Explore the village, visit the Angh’s (chieftain’s) house (if permitted), and observe the unique architecture and wood carvings.

Afternoon: Visit another Konyak village , Longwa village, partly in Myanmar(if time and road conditions allow). Interact with the villagers and learn about their traditional crafts (wood carving, beadwork, etc.).

Evening: Return to Mon.
